- Looting and Gearing Up: Upon landing, players must quickly scavenge for weapons, armor, healing items, and other utilities from buildings and supply drops. Different weapons (assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, SMGs) and attachments offer diverse playstyles.
- Survival and Elimination: Players must engage in combat with opponents, strategically outmaneuvering and outgunning them. Death in classic battle royale means you’re out of the game (unless revived in certain modes or by teammates).
- The Shrinking Playzone: A constantly shrinking “safe zone” (represented by a white circle on the map) forces players closer together, leading to intense confrontations. Staying outside the blue “playzone” border causes continuous damage, eventually eliminating players.
- Vehicle Combat and Traversal: Various vehicles (cars, motorcycles, boats) allow for fast traversal across large maps, provide cover, and enable thrilling vehicular combat. Version 3.9 is introducing revolutionary new vehicles like the Mega Truck (seats four, heavily armored, repairable, can transform into car form) and Electromagnetic Tank (seats four, fires electromagnetic rounds, can transform into tank form), along with the agile Cosmic Hoverboard for fast traversal. Motorcycles and bicycles will also gain drifting capabilities.
- Strategic Planning: Success isn’t just about aim; it’s about anticipating enemy movements, understanding the terrain, managing your inventory, and making critical decisions under pressure.
