Tumblebox: Spatial Puzzles

Tumblebox puts little puzzle worlds in front of you. Each is a board of tiles with a die on it, and your job is to roll the die home: look at a tile and pinch, or pinch the die and move your hand, and it tips over onto the next tile. EVERY ROLL TURNS THE DIE Roll right, and the face on the left comes up. Most goals want the gold star on top, a certain number or a colour, so finding the way is only half the puzzle: the turns are the other half. FIVE KINDS OF PUZZLE, NINE LEVELS EACH • Faces: the gold star, numbered tiles, and paint pots with colour gates • Floors: ice that carries you on, glass that breaks behind you, levers that turn bridges solid or ghostly • Portals: rings that join islands, and slides that carry you through them • Endless: paths in the mist, steps to drop down and jump up, and nights lit only by the die • Planets: tiny worlds you turn in your hands, with a flag to plant on every face LEARN AS YOU PLAY The first time a level brings in something new, a short card shows how it works and why, with a little board playing it out. If a move isn't allowed, the panel tells you which rule stopped it.
